Summer and watermelon are a perfect combination, and since watermelon season is here, we decided to start with making a super simple and delicious Rakomelo watermelon cocktail.
The sweetness and fruitness of the watermelon pairs perfectly with the honey and cinnamon flavors of the Rakomelo.
Super simple, super delicious, and a must for summer!
Yield: serves 1
- 2.5 oz Mastrogiannis Rakomelo
- 1 cup fresh watermelon (for the simple syrup)
- 1 cup sugar (for the simple syrup)
- 1 oz fresh lemon juice
- For the watermelon simple syrup, remove the rind from the watermelon and blend the flesh in a blender until smooth, strain into a saucepan, and add 1 cup of sugar. Simmer over medium heat until the sugar is melted and incorporated well. Set aside and let it cool. Once cool, add Rakomelo, watermelon simple syrup, and fresh lemon juice into a shaker over ice, shake and strain into a chilled coup glass.
