Rakomelo Mint Julep

Rakomelo Mint Julep

The mint julep, a killer cocktail, and of course using Rakomelo as our star of the show. Making it right requires a few simple ingredients. Traditionally served over crushed ice a metal julep cup, this Southern cocktail is likely one you have not made outside of Derby season (or maybe never at all), so you might need a refresher on how to make a good one!

Enjoy it!

Instructions

  1. Reserve some mint for the garnish. Place eight to ten loose mint leaves into the julep cup or glass. Pour in the simple syrup and muddle them together gently. Add the Rakomelo. Add some crushed ice and stir with a bar spoon. Top with more ice, don't be shy. Spank your reserved mint bouquet to release its oils and nestle it into the julep cup or glass to garnish.
