Baton Candy Cane

A delicious holiday cocktail that combined delicious with fun and festive. A surprisingly not too sweet drink given that we used both unsweetened cranberry juice and fresh mint to give this tartness and the mint flavor without added sweetness.

While the name might fool you, the is a lot going on with this recipe that is both simple, delicious and a refreshing way to delight your friends and family!

Yield: serves 1

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Mastrogiannis Baton Brandy
  • 6 oz Cranberry Juice
  • 1/2 oz Grand Marnier
  • 1 oz Simple Syrup
  • 4-6 Leaves of Fresh Mint
  • Raspberry-Cranberry Sparkling Water
  • Candy Cane for Garnish
  • Lime for glass rim
  • Sugar or crushed candy cane for the rim

Instructions

  1. In a cocktail shaker combine all of the ingredients except for the sparkling water and muddle the mint. Shake with ice. Pour in a sugar-rimmed glass with ice, top with sparkling water and garnish with a candy cane.
