Hazy Syrah Brandy is an evolution of what happens when you blur the lines between a winery and a distillery.
Hazy Syrah is our attempt to push the envelope between our two businesses and create a new style of Brandy.
It started by taking our flagship Baton Brandy and infusing it with fresh premium Washington Syrah grapes. The high-proof brandy stops the fermentation of the grapes while giving the brandy all the wonderful, full-body flavor and color of the Syrah grapes. The result is a deep purple-colored brandy that is naturally sweetened from the grapes, creating an entirely new brandy category.
Once equilibrium is reached between the grapes and brandy we do a very light filtration and bottle it. An absolutely delicious combination with no added additives, sugars, or colors. Like a fine wine, some sediment is normal
