Mulled Wine

Mulled Wine

As the winter chill settles in, there's nothing quite like wrapping your hands around a warm mug of Mulled Wine, or as the Germans call it, Glühwein. This week, we're taking our Friday Cocktail experience to new heights with a delightful twist on this classic winter warmer, featuring our very own Rose for Cure (Red Edition) and the rich, honey-infused notes of Rakomelo.

To create this soul-warming elixir, we combined our red edition wine, Rakomelo, fresh orange juice, spices, and sugar in a pot. Add in orange slices, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and star anise. Allow the mixture to simmer and let the aromas envelop your senses. The result, a luxurious, velvety Mulled Wine that's sure to transport you to a winter wonderland.

So, whether you're nestled by the fireplace or gathered with friends, our Rose for Cure Mulled Wine is the perfect antidote to winter's chill. Sip, savor, and let the weekend begin with a burst of warmth and flavor! Cheers to cozy evenings and festive spirits!

Instructions for the cocktail

  1. Add wine, brandy, orange slices, orange juice, cloves, cinnamon, star anise, and sugar to a large saucepan.  Stir briefly to combine. Cook the mulled wine on medium-high heat until it just barely reaches a simmer.  (Avoid letting it bubble — you don’t want to boil off the alcohol.)  Reduce heat to low, cover, and let the wine simmer for at least 15 minutes or up to 1 hour. Strain to remove any excess orange slices, cloves, cinnamon and anise. Give it a taste, you can add more sugar if you prefer it more sweet, serve warm.
